It's a BOY!

I haven't blogged in forever and I have so many posts to catch up on and I don't even have a picture to go with this post but figured I'd better at least post that we had our ultrasound last week and found out we are having another boy. We really wanted another girl for so many reasons but of course the Lord has other plans in mind. It's always the hard way with him isn't it?!

I knew in my heart he was a boy. I had been referring to him as a he for quite some time even though I wanted a girl so I wasn't surprised at all. This pregnancy has felt more like Jackson's than Gracie's too. And then, of course, we did the needle test right before the ultrasound and it said boy too. So we were not surprised.

However, we have no more boy stuff. I got rid of it all about a year ago. We also have no where to put this little boy. He's going to have to squish in with Jake and Joey I guess after he gets out of the cradle in our room. We also are out of "J" boy names. We weren't expecting to ever come up with any others. I was really hoping for a little girl for Gracie to play with too but she will have fun with this little boy too I'm sure.

So those are the cons. The pros are it's a baby. So far he is healthy and doing well. Boys are much easier than girls. We make pretty cute boys too and he will be loved and wanted even if his name doesn't start with a "J".

One Saturday in March...

the kids and I had been working extra hard getting the house all clean inside and out while Dad worked in the park. Because everyone did so good we decided to take them to the fair grounds for the afternoon for a picnic and to feed the ducks. Unfortunately, lots of other people had the same idea and when we got there the ducks were totally full. So we played on the playground and ate our lunch and went on a walk. When we were all done and ready to head home, guess who was hungry? Yep! the ducks. So the kids quickly fed them and we headed home. It was a nice afternoon.
No hungry ducks!

Oh sure, now that we're ready to leave you want to eat! Typical!
