4th Folder 4th Picture Tag

This was the 4th picture in my 4th folder. Jake's 3rd birthday party. Such a cutie! Whoever wants to do this go ahead. I don't tag people. It's fun to check and see what's in there.

It's Official! Gracie's On the Move!

Gracie turned 8 months on the 14th and has been mobile ever since. She has gotten really fast at the army crawl. She's been getting up on her knees and rocking also and she moves her knees some but hasn't quite got the hands down yet. I'm sure it wont be long.

So, life as I knew it is over AGAIN! It's always changing around here. She's already into everything. She also got her 2 top teeth so she now has 4 and she's saying MAMA! I love that. She sleeps in a cradle by my bed and in the mornings I look over to her peeking at me through the slats saying mama. I LOVE IT!

This was one of her first days when she was really getting the crawling down and exploring her world. She loves the cords under the desk and on the Wii. She is also learning the word NO. She actually stops sometimes when I say it and just smiles at me and crawls off to something new. So discipline has begun in her life. Gotta start young. Fun times.

Getting the cords under the desk

Knocking over trash cans and eating whatever she can find. I feed her, I promise. Just look at her rolls.

Just got caught in the boys closet. But who can punish that face?

And the best one is all the way under the boys bunk beds up against the wall. I could barely reach her to pull her out.
" Who me? I would never do anything wrong."

Joeyisms

Joey says the funniest things. Of all my kids he's my thinker and he's always coming up with his own little ideas. His latest thing he says about EVERYTHING! is "you need to be kidding me!" He thinks he's so grown up when he talks like this.

A few weeks ago we were visiting my parents in Mesa and the boys were playing with the legos. Joey built a big tower but in the middle he put a lego car and then kept building up. When he was finished he called it his "carscraper" I didn't even get it at first partly because sometimes he's hard to understand but then he explained to me that It wasn't a skyscraper because there's a car in it. Thus the carscraper.

I think I blogged about this before but he's also the one who asked why it's called Taco Bell when we don't like tacos. Why can't it be Bean Burro Bell he asked? I have to stay on my toes with this one. He's going to be smarter than me some day. I love you Joey!!

Stinkin' Cute Stinker!

This is really random and just because these pictures were so cute. So I'm just posting them. Soon after these were taken Jen removed her jeans because even though they're 12 months and it's only her 2nd time wearing them, her Howard bum no longer fits in them. They were cute the one and a half times she wore them though. I guess I thought as I was struggling to get them over her chubby little thighs that they might loosen up once she got them on. But alas, no chance of that. Poor baby. She was much happier with them removed. Love her and her chubby thighs and dimpled bum!

Sea World - WARNING! Photo intensive!

We got to go to Sea World two days. It was my second time but Scott and the kids first time to go and we all really enjoyed it. They don't have their summer hours yet so it was only open from 10:00 - 5:00 which I thought was just perfect. We didn't have to get up early and we got to leave before everyone got too exhausted and the kids loved that they could still get back to the hotel in time to swim each night. I think that was their favorite part really.

The second day they rode all the rides and I didn't get too many pictures so these are mostly the first day. They enjoyed the rides but Jake wasn't able to go on any so he and I did a lot of our own thing poor kid. I'm definitely not taking them to Disneyland until they're all tall enough. It seems so unfair to have to have one child sit out the whole time.

The Shamu show was my favorite. We went both days. I was suprised it was a little different each day.

Amazing that these heavy animals have enough power to propel themselves out of the water so high.

Shamu is actually no longer there. He died. But he was the first so they still keep the name.

Jackson really didn't want to meet Elmo but Elmo made him come over.

This is us waiting for the kids favorite show. This was Pets Rule. There were all kinds of trained dogs, cats, birds and even a pig. The kids loved it.

This is what Gracie did the whole time. She was such a trooper riding around in her stroller all day.

The shark exhibit

This was the dolphin show.

These animals are truly amazing. They are so smart and can jump so high.

The Beach

Wednesday we spent the day at the beach. It was a little chilly but the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. The kids played in the sand, played football & frisbee and even tried to knee board for about 2 minutes. It ruined Jake for life I think. Jake is my dare devil and Joey is the one who is always afraid but after one turn on the knee board Jake wouldn't get near the water again. Joey played in it all day and loved it. Didn't Gracie just look beautiful in her little sundress and hat. She enjoyed just sitting in the sand and even taking a little nap on the blanket.

After the beach we went swimming at the hotel and ate at Kansas City BBQ. We happened upon it and when we got inside we realized it was where some of the movie Top Gun was filmed. So that was fun. Another yummy place we ate at was a diner we'd seen on our favorite show "Diners, Drive-in's & Dives." It was called El Indio and it was so yummy. We tried to eat there a few times but it never worked out. We will definitely go there again someday.

San Diego Temple & the Beginning of Spring Break

OK - So I've been putting off this post because it's photo intensive and just takes so much time but here goes. We decided to go to San Diego for Spring Break this year. My brother Nate went with us and we drove there Monday. By the time we got there there wasn't much time to do anything so we decided to go driving and see if we could find somewhere to eat and maybe find the temple.

We found the temple all right. As we were driving we rounded a corner and there it was. So beautiful in the stormy sunset. We pulled up and got out and tried to go in before we realized why no one was around. It was Monday night! Dang it! So we didn't get to go inside the grounds but we were able to look on from the fence. It was beautiful. Jackson loved it. He asked if he could get married there and then asked me to take his picture. We love San Diego so I'd love it if he got married there. It'd give us an excuse to go.
