Brothers in love

Gracie has everyone wrapped around her little finger and her brothers are no different. They love getting a chance to hold her and they just want her to get up and play with them. The little boys don't quite get why she wont talk to them.

Growing too Fast!!!

This baby girl is growing up right before my eyes and I can't stop it. Already she is more aware of her surroundings and slowing losing that newborn feel. Saturday she woke up and suddenly had a DOUBLE CHIN! Look at that chubby little girl. We are still smitten and fall in love with her more and more every day. She's such a good baby. Never cries, sleeps all the time. I just have no complaints except that she's growing too fast.

OK, OK... Here we go

For all of those bugging me for more pictures of our sweet new arrival here you go. I'm sorry I haven't been on here sooner but honestly, if this were yours would you ever want to put her down? She's just perfect and such a good baby. I don't think I ever heard her cry for about 3 days.

Welcome Baby Gracie

This is Becky hacking into Shelley's blog to announce the arrival of my beautiful new niece. Honestly, she is adorable.

Gracie Michelle Howard was born at 11:46 on August 14th. Weighing 6 lbs 13 oz and 18 inches long with lots of black hair! Since I was the one taking pictures, I'll take the liberty to share some pictures (unedited). I'm sure there will be some better ones very soon.

My acrobats

Well, Jake is really my little acrobat. He's been running and doing flips since before he was 2 and can even do a head stand on his own for a few seconds. Joey on the other hand is just now catching on but has found he likes it as well. His new thing is to lean up against the coffee table and do a head stand while watching cartoons. He'll stay up there for minutes at a time just watching TV. I thought it was pretty funny.

What do you think? Olympics 2016 here we come!

Tye Dying with the Cousins

Well, all my sisters already posted about this event but they only put the pictures of the cute girls up. Unfortunately, I don't have any of those cute girls yet so I have pictures of the boys. Not quite as cute but definitely a lot of fun. They loved making their shirts.

all the kids and then all the boys except Missy's twins who were home sleeping I think

Cute things my kids are saying these days

I wanted to record a few cute things my boys have been saying lately. The other day I was sitting on the couch and Joey said he wanted to tell me a secret. I said ok and leaned in to hear, "Mom, I love you to the moon and back and as much as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches." Well, who's heart wouldn't melt with that.

Then Sunday we were so proud when Jackson got up to bear his testimony for his second time ever. When he was finished both Joey and Jake pumped their fists and said "YES!" then Jake yells "Jackson Rocks!" Such a proud moment for all!

One of the Funnest Things I've Ever Done

has been finally getting to decorate a PINK room. It was so fun to pick the fabrics and furniture and make it just how I wanted. I brought Jan along kicking and screaming because she couldn't do little girlie rosebuds and real quilted and appliqued bedding but I think now that it's all put together I think I've converted her. Have you ever seen such a cute room? I love how it all came together. I'm so glad to be done painting though. I had to paint the room and the dresser and the armoire. I love the armoire! I love the little touch adding the pink knobs made. There is no closet in this room we converted for Gracie so Grandpa Howard and Nancy were kind enough to build me one. I love how it turned out.

The armoire is already filled with Pink clothes and about 16 pairs of shoes! I know. I know. But I might as well start her out right. What's a girl without a great shoe fettish!

This is her great accessory drawer. Complete with bracelets, hair bows, head bands, flowers to clip on all the different hats and head bands and even binkie clips. She will be quite accessorized! I just hope she has as much hair as Jackson did. I guess we'll see here in a week or two.
