Sid the Science Kid

Are your kids watching this cartoon? If not they should be. It comes on right before my other favorite Super Why which teaches reading skills. It's on PBS at 9:30. Today on Sid he had an ice pop his mom made him that melted so the whole episode was on how things freeze and melt and they got to put fruit in the water, put a stick in it and make ice pops and then as they ate them and they melted they got to eat the frozen fruit snacks.

I thought this would be fun for my kids so when the show was over we took some grapes and some mandarine oranges and the kids put them in their cups and then instead of water we used pineapple juice. Can you say YUMMY! They were so excited when Joey got home from school and Jake woke from his nap to see if their ice pops were frozen and eat them. They loved them and what a fun healthy snack. A little sticky but that's what the back yard is for.

Blessing Day for Gracie

Well, back to posting more pictures of Gracie. I have so many it's hard to choose so I'm posting tons. Sorry. We almost didn't get to bless her this past weekend because everyone's been taking turns being sick in our house but on Sat. we decided to go for it. Uncle's Nate & Dana and Auntie Po and Matt were able to come from Mesa. Scott's sister's Becky and Missy and their families and his brother J.R. and Mom & Dad and Grandpa Howard & GG and Grumpy were all in attendance. It was nice and Scott did a great job. Thanks and props go to Nana for the beautiful dress even if she fought me on the hat. I think she loved the end result as much as I did. It was perfect!

I know she's my baby & I'm prejudice but really, have you seen anything more beautiful than that face?

I was too busy worrying about getting the boys to smile and look at the camera so I didn't notcie the sun in the picture. Oops.

I don't usually like tags...

but since this is about my honey I thought I could hack it. Thanks, Ellee, for making me think about some of these things. He really is the best! I love you babe!

1-Where did you meet? Well, in Howard's Trailer Park of course. Isn't that where everyone that goes to EAC meets?
2- How long did you date before you were married? 7 months
3- How long have you been married for? 13.5 years
4- What does he do that surprises you? Hmmm Lately it's been how much he loves our baby girl. It's just a new side of him that I've never been privileged to see before. We are so blessed.
5- What's your favorite feature about him? That's a tough one because I like it all. Probably his face. He's so handsome I still get butterflies when I look at him from across a room.
6- What's your favorite quality about him? His serenity. Nothing gets him. He's rarely ever riled up or angry unless he's trying to fix something in the trailer park. He is the calming influence in my life.
7- Does he have a nickname for you? Babe
8- What's his favorite color? He doesn't have one.
9- What's his favorite food? Umm Mexican of course. However, I have converted him to Italian and Chinese since we've been married and he does love Italian almost as much as Mexican now I think.
10-What is his favorite sport? It might be easier to say which sports he doesn't like. He loves to play golf and softball but he loves to watch football, baseball, soccer, tennis, golf, softball, ...
11- Who said I love you first? He did. It took me another week to figure it out.
12- When and where was your first kiss? On my front doorstep after a date. He slipped me the tongue and I was so shocked because it was his first kiss with anyone and he was already great at it. he he! That's probably TMI (Too Much Information)
13-What's your favorite thing to do as a couple? Be alone. We love spending time with our kids but it's not until we're alone at home or on a date or on a vacation that we really get a chance at quality time together.
14-Do you have kids? four
15- What's a hidden talent that he has? He can sound just like Chubaka (sp?) from Star Wars and he can draw Fred Flinstone perfectly.
16- How old is he? 35
17- What's his favorite type of music? He still loves what he loved in High School. Aerosmith, Metallica, etc.
18- What do you admire most about him? Lot's of things but I'll name one. He's such a good dad. I think he's a better dad than I am a mom.
19-What's his favorite past time? probably golfing or kissing his Gracie
20- Do you think he is going to read this? Yes. He usually checks up on my blog periodically.

I'm not tagging anyone. If you want to do it, go for it. It's a fun one.

Some favorite new photos

Here's just some random favorite photos right now that I've been playing with. Look at those cheeks! I can't believe she is 4 weeks already! She'll be a month old on Sunday! Where does the time go?

Daddy's Girl

Scott is so in love with this baby girl. Well, we all are but ya know how it is with a daddy and his first daughter. He can't wait to see her when he gets home each day and it makes his day if we go visit him out at the Eagle's Roost at lunch time. He always has to steal a hug and kiss during the lunch hour to tide him over until he gets home. I love this! I love that he is so in love with her.

Favorite New Outfit

Well, here's just some random photos of my new favorite outfit for Gracie these days. I saw it at Babies R Us and couldn't resist it. I know it seems like all my posts are about Gracie these days but why not right? My world seems to revolve around her right now and I don't have anything else to post about because we've been shut up at home and are just barely starting to make our way out and about. Hopefully soon there will be other events in my life to record.
