Friday was Jake's preschool graduation. It was so cute to see them walk out in their little hats. Jake had to have some extra prodding to actually come out of the door and go sit down. He gets a little stage fright in front of people. They sang us some of their songs and did the pledge of allegiance and then they got their diplomas and their teacher was nice enough to give them each their own BooBoo Bear.

BooBoo was a part of their class and he took turns going home with each of the kids. The kids would have to write down everything BooBoo got to do while at their house in a little journal and then take treats to the class the next school day. All the kids loved having BooBoo so she bought them all one. It was a cute day.

The Pledge of Allegiance

Yes, he did just pick his nose in front of everyone and now he's eating it. I'm so proud!

I Just Might Be Converted

So I've been thinking a lot lately about digital scrapbooking. With my new mac it would be easier than ever. I've just had a hard time reconciling the fact that I have a huge Scrapbox full of product. Well, I saw a friends layouts that she just whipped out in an afternoon and loved them so this weekend I watched a few tutorials on Photoshop Elements on Youtube and then decided to download PS E for the 30 day free trial.

Well, I just have to say that after watching only 2 or 3 how to videos and a few hours the following are my results and I'm quite pleased. It was very quick and I like the look farely well. I know there's so much I still need to learn so my pages can only get better but that's how it is with regular scrapbooking as well. I don't think I'm ready to give up regular scrapbooking completely but I think I will definitely begin to supplement.

Gracie is Pulling Herself Up

Gracie has started to pull herself up to things. She started this only a few weeks after she started crawling. She's already trying to climb stairs and over chairs that are trying to block her in (guess i need a baby gate). She's so busy and into everything. I didn't expect her to start walking along the furniture so quickly. Jackson didn't do this until after he was one. I wish she would slow down.

One of her favorite things to do is when I put her down in the Living Room she heads straight for the boys room. She loves to play in there. She especially likes it if they're in there with her. She thinks she's just one of the gang. Pulling herself up and grabbing toys out of the cubbies. I love these pictures. They show her fat little rolly thighs!

Tomatoes, Tomatoes, & more Tomatoes

So Friday morning my BFF, Jen calls me while she's getting ready to go camping for the weekend and asks if I have a lot to do for the weekend. I wasn't sure how to answer that so she says well, Norm just came home with 3 flats of tomatoes they were giving away up town and they're nice and beautifully ripe and ready to can. Problem is, Jen is leaving in a few hours for the whole weekend and wouldn't be able to get to them until the following Wednesday. By then it would've been too late. So she asks if I'll can them for her if she pays for the bottles.

Being the good friend that I am... ;) I agreed and spent my whole Saturday canning these beautiful tomatoes. I made stewed tomatoes then pressured them for 20 minutes. It was a lot of work but definitely worth it in the end. They turned out so yummy and so pretty don't you think?

Funny thing is that most of you know I hate tomatoes so you're saying to yourself, "why is she so excited?" Well, I hate RAW tomatoes. It's a seed texture thing. However, I love to cook with tomatoes.

3 Flats - Each flat had 4 packages

And... the finished product.

Fun with Photo Booth

We have a new toy at our house. I made the switch and bought a new imac. It's huge and very cool. Don't know why I didn't switch sooner. Photobooth is my kids favorite feature. They could play with it forever. You can make all kinds funky faces. Here is a sampling of just a few of our aliens.

Joey's teeny mouth cracks me up.
