Morris Reunion at White River

Our summer started out with a weekend to the White Mountains for my annual family reunion. My family has been going there yearly for 59 years. Next year will be a big celebration for the 60th year. Uncle Tink's family was in charge of the games this year and did a fun activity where it was like a carnival with lots of little carnival games for everyone to around and participate. It was complete with cotton candy, face painting and even a kissing booth (my cousin Ryan handed out Hershey's kisses). My kids were nervous to go to the kissing booth until they realized what happened there.

This year was the first year that there was no volleyball right after the family games. The Morris family are huge volleyball fanatics and usually there are volleyball games going most of the day. Unfortunately, this year there was another family camping right on the volleyball court as well as a very large old tree that fell down right across the back. We hope to get our court back next year.

We still managed to have our family talent show in the evening with lots of fun skits and musical numbers. My brothers kind of have a little family band they mess around in and they gave an awesome performance. Most of the family is very musically talented so there were lots of great numbers.

There was lots of playing in the river and plenty of campfire sitting as well. It was a fun weekend. The kids love to camp and it's even more fun with cousins.

I enjoy spending time up there with my family but it's so much work with all these little ones and so exhausting trying to do it when I'm pregnant. So... this was probably my favorite part of the weekend. The quiet drive home.
